About the Tarotist

Once upon a time, I was a witch within an eggshell, feeling the magick tingling outside but unable to reach it. Over time, I managed to escape the delicate but nigh-impossible shell with the help of my best friend in the world, Dani Bobby. By their actions, I was reborn, free to be the witch I was always meant to be, and one of the first modalities of magick I learned was divination through the tarot.

Tarot completely changed my life for the better, in just about every way possible, so I dove straight into the deep end, with books and online resources to “make up for lost time,” as it were - I came to it late, so I figured I’d have to hustle to catch up to where my peers are! I stared into the cards, I put myself into each one, felt the energetic outflow from them until an affinity formed. I learned more about witchy subjects and saw how astrology is intrinsically interwoven with the tarot. I learned about the history. I compared and contrasted decks until I reached a fuller understanding of the cards.

Tarot has become a vital language to me, one that I hope to continue to learn as the years pass and I grow older and wiser through experience. It is my great desire, in the sacred name of Aphrodite, to bring the unique medicine of tarot and poetry to people who request it. I am a devout Priest of Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, Sex, Beauty, Pleasure, War, Justice, Desire, Passion and ever so much more. In deep trance and exploration of Her epithets I have discovered that She has been known for many roles and worshipped for many purposes over the long millennia. She is preceded by the Goddesses Ishtar, Inanna, Astarte and others, and it is thought that Aphrodite came to Cyprus by way of Phoenician sailors.

She has become a vitally important aspect of my life and is woven deeply into my tarot practice and poetry writing. I have written two books of devotional poems for Her, available here and here.

I was born on 27 January 1979 on a New Aquarius Moon, making me an Aquarius Sun, Aquarius Moon, and Libra rising. My Venus is in Sagittarius, and the Aphrodite asteroid sits right atop my Midheaven. I have a heavy concentration of Air in my chart, which helps me translate emotional topics to easily digested intellectual bites for your tarot pleasure. I have a deeply intimate touch with the cards that can help guide you through the larger questions of your life, and bring out the emotions that hide within you so that you can reach parity between your physical and emotional self. This is done gently and with your explicit consent, so that we can explore intimate themes that echo throughout your life.

I am a proud antifascist who believes in reparations for Black people and land back for Indigenous people and free human migration all over the world and queer and trans rights and total body autonomy and sovereignty. At present I live on unceded Kaskaskia lands, otherwise known as middle Ohio in the so-called United States. Since witches are few and far between in my day-to-day life, I cleave to the internet for my witchy pals and educators and colleagues.

I am in my middle forties, and some days I feel very young and others ancient, but I suppose that is true for a lot of sensitive spirits. I am queer, trans (specifically genderfluid), and my pronouns are zi/zir (pronounced zee/zeer). I have been married for over twenty years, and currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats who are the light of my life.

I am neurodivergent as fuck, with AuDHD, Bipolar 1, C-PTSD, OCD, and Anxiety Disorder. These inevitably shade the way I look at things and process information.

I like baking, crocheting, social media, making art, writing poetry and fiction, tarot and the esoteric arts, novice herbalism, bullet journaling, being in a coven, watching beloved anime and live shows, listening to music, weed, politics, work with Aphrodite, spell crafting, making sigils, and socializing with other witches.

I dislike racists, queerantagonistic folks, misogynists, living in a small town, socializing with anyone other than witches, talking on the phone, having to leave my house, a practice of "love and light" only, exercise, and most vegetables.
